Dr. Susan and PatientThe goal of restorative dentistry is to diagnose and manage disease in the teeth and supporting structures by restoring form and function. Your teeth need to do more than look attractive; they must work effectively, too.

If you have neglected your teeth for years, suffered serious dental trauma, or are missing several teeth, restorative dentistry might be appropriate for addressing your needs. These treatments can restore your oral health and make it possible for you to chew properly and eat the kinds of foods you want.

Restorative dental treatments offered in our Raleigh dental office include:

Tooth colored fillings- we can remove tooth decay and fill cavities with a long-lasting material that can be matched to the shade of your natural tooth.

Crowns- when a tooth is decayed or damaged to the point that its integrity is compromised, we can place a porcelain or gold crown on it so your tooth can continue to function at it should. Porcelain crowns can be matched to the color of neighboring teeth.

Veneers- chips, minor cracks, discoloration, undesirable spaces, and uneven teeth can be corrected with veneers. These thin sheets of porcelain are bonded to the fronts of your teeth and custom made to match your natural teeth.

Bridges- dental bridges can fill the space left by one or more missing teeth. We fabricate prosthetic teeth to take the place of your missing teeth, and use the healthy teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth as anchors by restoring them with crowns.
