Dear Family and Friends:

We’ve made the difficult decision to close our office to non-emergency care for the next two weeks in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The ADA, North Carolina Dental Board, and North Carolina Dental Societies have since issued recommendations supporting this plan. We will be available for emergency care when necessary. In this situation, emergency care is defined as swelling, pain, infection, or trauma. If you are having such an emergency, call the office (DO NOT TEXT) and follow the instructions on the voicemail if you do not reach one of our team members directly.

Our goal is to be part of the solution and flatten the curve of transmission as much as possible. Slowing the spread of this virus will prevent our healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed and keep the mortality rate as low as possible. Most cases of COVID-19 in North Carolina are in our county and a fair number of those are in our immediate community. While we love our patient family, we are going to practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC in the hopes that we can return to caring for them soon.

If you have an appointment with our office, we will reach out to you to reschedule when our office reopens.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Drs. Ben and Susan Thompson
